Click away now if you’ve heard me say this a thousand times (not really – please stay!) but I just freakin love designing kids spaces! There is no fear when it comes to color, pattern and playfulness. You want flowers and peacocks sheets? Go for it! neon polka dots all over your walls? Why not?!

It was no exception when this “mini client” came to me and asked for a style update on her room. She had some fantastic pieces (her parents have great taste and her dad refinishes mid century modern furniture as a hobby) but she needed it to feel more cohesive, styled and also function better for her starting big girl school in the fall!

First things first – we had a big chat about what needed to stay and what needed to go. This mini client was actually fantastic about saying BYE BYE to lots of items that she had outgrown like the mini kitchen, teal canopy and polka dot wall vinyls. The one thing she was adamant about keeping was her new tiger bedding and I don’t blame her! Yellow tigers and purple bedding? Fierce!

Check out the e-design package we came up based on the major furniture pieces she had, new pieces she needed and her love of lavender. We know she absolutely loved this super fun grown up space that we designed for her.

This was such a fun space to design – especially knowing that we are giving her the lavender room of her dreams in a shade as beautiful as Spangle by Sherwin Williams. This super super light lilac is going to look gorgeous in this space and even better with that tiger bedding!

  1. I love that you design around what the client wants and their taste rather than some people who can only design around what they like. That takes real talent. Proud of you my lovely. Xx
